The
Fountains resident of the quarter is Ruth Spencer, the daughter
of Zadie and Andy Bradley. Ruth was born February 2, 1921 in the
quiet little community of Higbee, Missouri. She has six half brothers
and sisters. Ruth's father was a coal miner and her mother a home-maker.
They had a garden and she helped with the canning during the summer
months. The family moved to Kansas City, Missouri when Ruth was
ten years old. Ruth attended Central High School. After high school,
she met her husband, Wilbur Spencer, at a restaurant where she was
a waitress. They were married October 26, 1940. Ruth then was employed
by Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator. Wilbur was employed
by General Motors and worked the assembly line for 41 years. They
were married for ten years before they started their family. The
couple was then blessed with three children; two daughters and one
son. Daughter Linda lives here in Andover and was the Vice-Principal
at the school

reigns of Jazil. Rick currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky.
He has been in the horse business for many years and loves his
work. His love for horses
all started in Arlington, Texas atthe age of sixteen
|
 |
|
when young Rick bought and 18 month old thoroughbred for one hundred
dollars without his parents knowing. He worked at Six Flags to provide
the care and facilities for his new love. It wasn't until after
he paid off the horse that he told his parents. At the age of 18,
his passion became intensified when his father passed away. His
horse became a natural outlet for the pain of his loss.
